Buying a compressor

Postby niteliter » Sat Oct 14, 2017 11:09 am

Hi guys,
I hav been a PCP Rifle shooter since 2015,I hav a Marauder 22,a Hatsan AT44 QE 25,a Hatsan BT 65 357 Carnivore, and a Disco 22,not to mention a few assorted springers, the dive shop aint really far away, but more often then not I have to leave the tank and make another trip there to get the refilled tank,I was toying with the idea of getting a compressor for filling up my 80/3000 scuba tank, and maybe get a smaller tank for the hunting trips, but Im not that familiar with the home compressors and they seem kinda pricey,an odd comment from a guy who paid a tidey some for BT65,but as they say,if ya want it,ya get it,and being single......man I hav alot of great toys in my life,so
what do you guys think about this compressor?

and can this be used to fill a 80/3000 scuba tank?

Looks like the usual chinese yong heng compressor.....do some google work on that and you will find lots of folks have grabbed them and most are positive about the compressor.

I have had mine only about a month and mine has about an hour run time on it.....I would check out the slingshot channel on youtube he has a good tear down on the compressor and that is what swung me over to make the buy.

For $279 shipped it should alleviate hand pumping woes for many airgunners. I would use good oil and change it out frequently and watch the temp and don't let it get too hot. Time will tell how long they last and that will probably vary depending on the end user.

I went with the Air Venturi compressor and I am loving it. It is China built as well, but so far so good and appears to be well built.
