JSB 33.95 gr in Marauder .25cal

Postby Nod » Wed May 17, 2017 3:37 pm

Is anyone here using these pellets in a stock Marauder? I've been using the 25.39 gr with great success and I'm wondering if the heavier pellets are as accurate. I usually start @ 3000psi and @ 24 shots I'm down to about 2300. I'm looking for a little more fpe and wonder how the heavies would do.

My bone stock Gen I shoots the 33.95 as well as the 25.4.
I start at 3000psi and after 16 shots I am at 2000psi.
Fine for me.

Same here on a regulated Synrod. I find the 34s even more accurate in the near 50 FPE range.

Thanks, that was what I was looking for. I will order some. I'd love to hit the 50 fpe range.

Stock you will likely be around 45 FPE with the 34's, you could squeeze out 50 fpe a lot easier if you took your transfer port (this includes valve exit port and barrel port) to .157 which is the max you can take those without tearing deeper into the valve. The above modification/porting should yield around 10% more power which would bring you into the 50 fpe range much easier without requiring to be an air hog. GL

You were right on the money. I've adjusted to 7 turns in from (back off/ stop) and I'm averaging 770 fps from 3000 down to 2500 which is 44fpe. I think that is as far as I can adjust but I'm happy with that.
