New Syrod questions!

Postby chwillbill68 » Mon Feb 12, 2018 3:06 pm

Hello, guys! I got my ,25 cal Marauder a bit over a week ago. It works great and shoots pretty nice out to 30 yards (furthest I have shot it). My question is the book says its been tuned by Benjamin for hunting/ target, but dosen't say what that is. I don't have a crony yet to check what the pellet is doing. Dose any body know what their tune is to be in FPS and FPE? I also notice that the gun uses a good bit of air. For instance I just charged the gun to 2500 psi and I shot 8 shots and it was down to 2000 psi. I don't want to mess with anything until I get a crony, since everyone on here pretty much says you need that to know whats going on.

Thanks Bill C!

Bill, it means the gun has the capability to be used for small game hunting and plinking targets. No two guns from the factory are going to be tuned alike and is why you need to set yours up how you want it within its limits using a chrono. It is slinging some heavy lead (.25) so it will use more air. There are mods you can install to make the gun a little more efficient too. Nice gun!

Thanks, I have been looking and plan to get a chrony in the near future to see what it is doing. Really like air guns wish they were cheaper so I could have more, LOL
