Do Eley Solid No. 2 Magnum pellets fit LW .22 barrel

I tried to shoot a Eley .22 Magnum solid No. 2 pellet in my Mrod with a LW barrel and it would not fully seat. I tried to push the bolt all the way forward but met too much resistance so I pushed it out with a wooden dowel. I looked at the pellet after it came out and it had some fresh rifling groves on it where it became the widest about 3/4 back from the tip.

Do the Eley pellets work in at LW .22 barrel?

Why did you change the barrel on your Mrod?
I use the same pellets, with my stock Mrod barrel and must admit that it's the most accurate pellet (or should I call it a "slug") that I've shot through it!
TBH, I don't know why it shouldn't work with the LW barrel, it's the same .22 diameter (or it isn't?), they work perfectly good for me.

I bet you and me are the only ones on this forum that use these, the rest of the guys I've noticed are not so keen to get products directly from overseas.
They'll just stick to USA made stuff.

Try to clean your barrel, maybe use some lube and I bet you'll have amazing results.

What's the weight on these? The LW barrels are a lot tighter than the factory Crosman....I too would try lubing them and see how they work.....Any pics of the slugs?

The weight is 30.3 grs., they're made in UK.

Those are a bit heavy for the .22 Mrods I've shot (about 25 of them now) and tuned....but out of a Career or Condor they'd be true hammers.....wish I'd known about these before I sold my career.
